Configuration of an SDX-2 application

All information on configuration of an SDX-2 application are recorded in a single XML document. This document mst absolutely bve named and located as follows: {chemin-sdx}/{dossier-application}/conf/application.xconf. The folder {folder-application} must be located in the SDX installation folder (usually the sdx folder located in the webapps folder of the servlet engine).

Many configuration informationare necessary in this file, the easiest way is to get an example and to modify it according to your needs. The human documentation of configuartion options has not been written yet, but two resources provide technical documentation:

  • The XML schema which the document must comply with application.xconf: if the document does not comply with this schema, your application cannot be loaded by SDX. To use this schema in an XML editorwhen creating the application.xconf file, allows to view possible options.

  • A demonstration file application.xconf, which is as complete as possible, with various explanations.

It is important to record that SDX-2 is released with a show case application, named sdxworld, which has a application.xconf file, which you can use as a basis for your own application.

We also would like t underline that for the migration of an SDX-1 application, particular instructions are available to transform the db_info.xml file (SDX-1) into a application.xconf file (SDX-2).
