This project is part of the GNU Project.
The savannah project here provides (slightly delayed) access to the gawk development sources. They are regularly updated from the master sources, which remain on a separate machine for various reasons.
There are two CVS modules: gawk-stable is the stable tree, which is for bug fixes and performance improvement only. gawk-devel is the development tree where new features are added and things are by definition unstable. Use the latter for production AT YOUR OWN RISK.
