The current Kimwitu++ version is 2.3.11 (see CHANGES for what's new). Kimwitu++ users are currently expected to have experience with Kimwitu; we are working on an improved documentation.
Kimwitu++ always has current packages in Debian format. It is part of the official distribution now. For getting the newest version it is advisable to get the package from the unstable distribution.
The program can only be compiled with a sufficiently modern C++ compiler. We offer a precompiled executable for the operating system with a visual feature in its name. Programs written in Kimwitu++ will compile with VC++ with only small changes.
